Al-Sisi made these remarks while addressing during the 16th three day BRICS Summit held in Kazan Russia. It was Egypt’s first time to take part in the organization since its formal acceding in January.

The participation is of almost 40 nations in the summit and its last day BRICS Plus/Outreach format, which is being held under the chair of Russia for the year 2024 BRICS and its theme “Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security.”

As stated by El-Sisi, there have been a number of crises over the years that have affected many parts of the globe, which makes it abundantly clear that the international system does not have a fair method of resolving international disputes. He underscored Egypt’s commitment to set up systems for cooperative development that leveraged the BRICS countries’ relative strengths to launch investment initiatives of cooperation. Putin placed emphasis on the need to preserve distribution channels and combat protectionism, proposing establishing a novel investment platform for the BRICS nations.
